It’s been a long time coming, but two very conspicuous (and very unavailable) tracks from drum & bass producer Culture Shock have now been released in the form of a brand new EP titled Raindrops/Troglodyte VIP.
For the last 12 months both tunes could only be heard exclusively via mixed sets from the scene’s top-tier DJs, including Andy C’s seminal Nightlife 6 compilation. While Culture Shock has crafted several remixes over the past few years, this EP represents his first original studio output since 2012′s I Remember.
Having already scored high marks from the likes of Andy C, Chase & Status, and Drumsound & Bassline Smith, to name a few, Raindrops/Troglodyte VIP supplies a heavy dose of thunderous basslines and magnetizing motifs. From Raindrops’ enduring 8-bit lead to Troglodyte VIP’s rolling low-end, this EP has undeniable appeal across the D&B spectrum.
Raindrops/Troglodyte VIP comes by way of RAM Records and can be purchased right here on Beatport.
