It’s been well over a year since RAM producer Hamilton released his storming, double A-side EP Deep In My Heart/Rich Kids. While the Londoner has certainly been visible on the DJ circuit, regularly playing Fabric’s RAM nights, touring the US last Fall, and smashing up Europe’s biggest bass massives, his studio production has gone all but missing–until now! The RAM producer has just returned with an explosive new EP that’s smashing up the charts like a runaway freight train. Entitled Schema, the new EP features eight original tracks, each boiling over with menacing breaks, bustling basslines, and innovative sound design.
Easily Hamilton’s biggest release to date, Schema hits the mark on all eight tunes, combining elements of soul, neurofunk, and liquid D&B. For some dark and aggressive vibes, start off with the pressurized bombshell called F*ck It Up. This tune’s laser-honed lead synth belts out a maddening melody while its frantic drums keep the intensity dialed up to a feverish pitch. For a bit less darkness and a little more soul, jump to the anthemic track called You Had It. An ardently ravey vocal accompanied by a transient bass riff and an arresting chord progression makes You Had It one of Hamilton’s most versatile tunes since his remix of Blackout’s L.O.V.E. For similar feel-good vibes as You Had It, jump to the galvanizing banger called Get Together. Get Together’s uplifting melody, sweeping mid-bass, and impassioned vocals combine to form an exalted symphony of emotional bass music. Be sure to check out Schema’s full tracklist and pick up the entire EP from Beatport right here.
