Premiere: Bluescreens – Strike One (Part 2) (Original Mix) [RAM]

As the follow-up to their speaker-popping drum & bass cut Strike One (Part 1) from 2013, Bluescreens’ Strike One (Part 2) has us swinging for the fences with even more raw RAM power.



As with part one’s inclusion on RAMsterdam Drum & Bass 2013, Bluescreens’ latest comes as the French duo’s contribution to RAM Records’ RAMiami Drum & Bass 2014 compilation, out March 21.



The sequel kicks off with a flittering series of muffled rim shots joined shortly by a commanding kick drum, with which Bluescreens crafts a foreboding intro that detonates into a ferocious D&B groove mounted with a monstrous bassline and punishing percussion.



The rest of the RAMiami comp features tunes from label founder and head Andy C, Sub Focus, Roni Size, Loadstar, Delta Heavy, Noisia, and more.

RAMiami Drum & Bass 2014 drops March 21, a week before RAM’s takeover room at the SMOG vs. Firepower event at Mekka in Miami March 27, featuring sets from Andy himself, Ed Rush, Optical, Loadstar, and more. Get more info here.
